Giant Plush Cat Sculpture Art Installation Now Launched

As a professional custom commercial art installation manufacturer, we delivered this giant cat-themed mall display for high-end urban shopping centers with full in-house end-to-end service—from prototype development, bionic plush texture fabrication, supporting prop production to on-site installation, offering one-stop manufacturing for commercial display props and outdoor art installations.

At the pre-design phase, 3D structural modeling for two oversized main cat sculptures was completed to match the dimensions of the mall’s outdoor plaza.

Thickened welded steel frames form the load-bearing core, meeting wind resistance standards for long-term outdoor placement. High-density shaping substrates are layered over the framework to recreate soft, rounded feline silhouettes, eliminating harsh angular edges typical of large-scale sculptures.

The core technical challenge lies in custom bionic plush finishing. Our self-developed long-fiber faux grass flocking material is hand-laminated layer by layer across the entire sculpture surface with thousands of individual velvet strips secured one by one.

Two color palettes—milk coffee and off-white—distinguish the fur textures of the two main statues. A limited-edition Christmas soft furnishing kit is also custom-made, including detachable velvet Christmas capes and hats for easy seasonal theme rotation.

Small complementary fiberglass cat sculptures are mass-produced via custom molds with uniform matte soft-touch coating to maintain visual consistency with the giant installations.

Supporting indoor display props are fully deployed on-site, including oversized paw photo-op installations, themed cabins, sculpted Christmas trees and a full suite of commercial decor props. Lightweight eco-friendly composite panels are used throughout, balancing outdoor weather resistance with a soft visual finish to build a fully immersive cat photo destination.

Our in-house professional installation crew executed all day-and-night on-site workflows: hoisting, surface touch-ups, soft furnishing assembly and site display paving. Segmented giant sculptures are transported and spliced at height; all seam flocking is manually repaired for seamless, invisible joints.

Large and small cat sculptures plus landscape props are precisely positioned alongside synthetic turf ground surfacing.

The full outdoor art installation package is delivered as an integrated turnkey project, creating a highly recognizable landmark photo spot for the city’s commercial district.
