We successfully delivered the “Holi’s Daydream” Christmas visual merchandising (VM) project for a prominent Chengdu shopping center. We provided a one-stop solution encompassing the fabrication of Christmas-themed props, immersive experiential scene customization, and complete on-site installation of the commercial holiday decor. The project transformed the space into a sprawling fairytale streetscape, featuring a giant snow-dusted Christmas tree, European-style cabins, custom fiberglass rabbit IP sculptures, a track train, and giant bow arches. To address the complex load-bearing requirements of the cantilevered track train and oversized custom sculptures—especially in high-traffic pedestrian areas prone to accidental impacts—we engineered a heavy-duty structural framework using thickened galvanized square steel tubing. The cantilevered elements were reinforced with diagonal bracing, while the sculpture bases were widened and weighted following rigorous load capacity calculations. By breaking down the components for modular assembly, we effectively guaranteed the structural safety and durability of these long-term outdoor installations.
The project execution strictly adhered to standardized color control, meticulous finishing techniques, and systemic lighting integration. We established a dedicated, brand-specific color palette consisting of vibrant red, deep brown, creamy white, and dark green. Panel joints and welding seams were polished and seamlessly edge-banded, while the faux snow details were layered and reinforced to prevent cracking or peeling. Low-voltage, hidden LED lighting strips were flawlessly integrated into the Christmas tree, cabins, and arches. The entire lighting system was synchronized with the mall’s broader holiday visual merchandising setup, ensuring a magical, immersive fairytale atmosphere both day and night.
