As the primary fabrication contractor for the custom public dynamic art installation at Parc Central (Tianhuan Plaza), our factory managed the manufacturing and on-site installation of the stainless steel art structures, decorative lanterns, and supporting visual merchandising props. Fabricating the ultra-long cantilevered dragon body presented significant challenges, including outdoor sway and deformation risks, color inconsistencies across thousands of translucent scales, and complex multi-segment assembly alignment. To overcome these engineering hurdles, we integrated reinforced steel trusses backed by rigorous wind-load calculations, executed seamless multi-section splicing, precisely calibrated the lighting of each scale against an exclusive color palette, and implemented a standardized component coding system for accurate pre-assembly and positioning.
This illuminated art installation utilizes a dual-layer fabrication process featuring precision-bent stainless steel and light-transmitting acrylic. The structure incorporates multi-circuit programmable LED strip lights to create a viral, interactive photo-op destination. Prior to factory dispatch, all components underwent comprehensive pre-assembly and lighting synchronization tests. On-site, our team executed synchronized lifting and installation across multiple work zones, ensuring on-time delivery for the Lunar New Year holiday display season without disrupting the shopping mall’s normal daily operations.
