As a professional custom art installation factory, we undertook this immersive public art installation project for a premier shopping mall. While the spatial creative design was provided independently by the client, we took full responsibility for the complete fabrication, production, and on-site assembly of all sculptural components and scenic props. The project featured a giant European-style arch seamlessly integrated with monumental portrait and giant hand sculptures. Due to its massive, irregular curved surfaces and high outdoor wind load exposure, the segmented joints were highly susceptible to cracking and deformation. Additionally, the intricate and dense carved relief lines posed a high risk of color variation and blurred textures during batch painting. To overcome these challenges, we reinforced all large sculptures with thickened galvanized steel load-bearing skeletons, widened the counterweight bases, and conducted rigorous wind resistance calculations. The sculptures were modularly prefabricated, with joints internally reinforced using steel plates and seamlessly sealed. The relief components were individually molded and painted simultaneously using standardized batch color cards. This advanced fabrication approach thoroughly resolved the three core industry challenges: structural stability, shape deformation, and uneven coloration.
The entire experiential mall installation features refined, seamless finishing and integrated night lighting craftsmanship. The arch carvings and portrait texture joints underwent multi-layer polishing for a flawless, hidden finish. All components were color-matched in the exact same batch. Built-in ambient lighting and independent, electronically controlled illuminated channel letters within the arch create a dreamy, French garden atmosphere both day and night. Accompanying visual merchandising props—including giant teapots, chess pieces, and hot air balloons—were manufactured and assembled simultaneously as a unified set. Before leaving the factory, all components underwent a 1:1 complete pre-assembly inspection to calibrate any alignment deviations in advance.
