In today’s fiercely competitive commercial real estate market, creating exceptional spatial experiences has become the golden rule for attracting foot traffic. Recently, a custom visual merchandising (VM) installation project themed “Floral Healing” at Jiu Guang Center was successfully completed. As a professional factory specializing in custom mall retail displays and VM props, our team maintained a rigorous approach from receiving the initial design blueprints to the final on-site delivery. By prioritizing precise factory fabrication and safe, secure on-site installation, we overcame a series of production and construction challenges to deliver a high-quality visual feast.Below is an in-depth analysis of the project’s execution process, focusing on core dimensions such as factory pre-fabrication, technical breakthroughs, and on-site assembly:

1. Pantone Standard Color Matching and High-Fidelity Reproduction

As seen in the project photos, the “Floral Healing” theme utilizes an extremely rich color system—covering highly saturated Tiffany blue (for the vintage carriage and stairs), cascading violet floral seas, giant bright yellow mushrooms, and the soft fur tones characteristic of cute mascot IPs. Ensuring zero color discrepancy during the factory production phase is the primary challenge in manufacturing shopping mall VM props.During the prototyping phase, the factory’s technical department strictly adhered to international PANTONE color guides and digital proofing standards. For large fiberglass sculptures like the giant white cat and Corgi dog in the project, artisans applied multiple layers of manual airbrushing combined with gradient transition techniques. After undergoing more than three rounds of rigorous prototype reviews, we ultimately achieved nearly 100% visual fidelity, ensuring the mass-produced custom props perfectly matched the original design intent.

2. Full Pre-Assembly and Strict Structural Safety Control

This custom installation at Jiu Guang Center involved numerous large-span, high-suspension, and uniquely shaped structural components. For example, the giant “cascading floral waterfall” combination and the towering striped mushroom structures in the project would pose significant safety risks if shipped directly for on-site assembly, due to potential sizing micro-adjustments or center-of-gravity instability. Furthermore, mall atriums and outdoor plazas have extremely high requirements for wind load resistance, foot traffic durability, and flood prevention.

To address this, the factory initiated a large-scale “full pre-assembly” process before shipping. We conducted structural assembly tests at a 1:1 ratio within the facility. All internal frameworks were fully welded and reinforced using national standard hot-dip galvanized square steel, and counterweight steel plates were added to the bases based on precise structural mechanics calculations. By simulating gravity and external force swaying tests within the factory, we completely eliminated structural safety hazards, laying a solid foundation for efficient on-site setup.

3. Impeccable Detailing and Multi-Material Integration

The quality of high-end shopping mall VM displays often hinges on minute detail processing. Components like the wooden swing floral rack and the wood-grain archway signs involved the intersection of various heterogeneous materials, including anti-corrosion wood, high-gloss fiberglass, artificial plants, CNC-carved EVA soft padding, and LED light strips. Different materials have varying coefficients of thermal expansion, which severely tests the “detail finishing” techniques at the seams.The project department adopted a processing strategy of “modular pre-allocation + precise on-site micro-adjustment.” All heterogeneous joints were pre-designed with a 2-3mm process finishing groove. The interfaces between wood and steel structures were secured using specialized weather-resistant sealants and hidden corner brackets; the floral arrangements were densely planted into modular bases by senior florists at the factory, requiring only simple assembly and branch grooming on-site. This combination of industrial production and artisanal craftsmanship ensured that every visible detail showcased seamless perfection.

4. Atmospheric Lighting Integration and Concealed Wiring

From the purple wisteria floral corridor, it is evident that the project relies heavily on lighting to highlight a mysterious and romantic atmosphere at night and indoors. The interior of the floral corridor is densely packed with hundreds of miniature LED running light strings and linear high-voltage light strips. How to ensure no cables are exposed while maintaining full waterproof and leak-proof capabilities amidst heavy foot traffic is a safety and aesthetic challenge that VM prop factories must solve.During the molding of the steel structures and fiberglass, the factory pre-embedded hidden flame-retardant threading pipes (PVC pipes). All LED drivers, transformers, and junction boxes were centrally and discreetly planned within the internal compartments of the vintage train head and inconspicuous wooden crate props. All exposed on-site connections utilized IP65 aviation waterproof connectors, which not only achieved a perfect “visible light, hidden wire” visual effect but also significantly enhanced the electrical safety coefficient of the commercial public space.
