As a professional custom art installation manufacturer specializing in designer toys and collectible figures, our studio served as the sole contractor responsible for the complete production of all in-mall props, large-scale anime sculpture fabrication, and end-to-end on-site installation for this project. Two major engineering challenges defined the project’s execution. First, replicating the complex multi-curved surfaces of cartoon character sculptures demanded exceptional precision — achieved through CNC machining paired with 3D model alignment calibration, followed by layered hand-finishing guided by strict color-matched references. The result: a visual accuracy rate exceeding 98% against the original character designs. Second, cantilevered castle structures and suspended vintage train track installations posed significant load-bearing and outdoor safety risks. These were addressed with reinforced galvanized square tube welded frames, triangulated bracing systems, a certified structural engineering report, and multi-layer anti-corrosion treatment — all of which passed the mall’s official safety inspection without issue.
The complete mall prop package comprised over one hundred individual modular components. Panel seams, edge banding, and structural transitions are notoriously difficult to conceal cleanly — to eliminate visible flaws, we applied a snap-lock alignment system combined with color-matched seamless sealant, fully concealing all exposed steel edges and structural joints. Up close, the installation reads as seamless. Given the oversized dimensions of many components, full-unit shipping was not feasible. Instead, our factory completed a full 1:1 pre-assembly in-house, with every piece sequentially numbered, inspected, and deviation-corrected before disassembly. After careful packaging, all components were shipped direct-to-site via dedicated freight. On-site, standardized assembly drawings developed during pre-build enabled multiple crews to work in parallel — completing the full installation of all large-scale sculptures, fairy-tale castle structures, and track-mounted systems within the mall’s tightly restricted setup window.
Once fully installed, the layered installation formed a cohesive, immersive fairy-tale townscape: a stacked modular castle, oversized cartoon character sculptures, a floating vintage train on an elevated track, a stepped interactive photo platform, and a giant gramophone centerpiece. The multi-level composition offers compelling sightlines from every angle, while strategically placed character window displays, track-mounted collectible figures, and bunny IP photo moments create a layered, shareable experience — perfectly aligned with the mall’s anniversary celebration theme and establishing an iconic outdoor retail landmark.
Over its 45-day run, the installation delivered standout performance metrics across every platform: more than 28,600 pieces of organic user-generated content across social media; 12.3 million total video views on TikTok; 4,600+ Facebook interactions under the campaign hashtag; and 3,200 impressions on X (Twitter), attracting attention from commercial real estate operators across multiple cities. YouTube saw 40+ immersive walk-through vlogs with a combined 280,000 views. With over 28,600 pieces of organic content generated across all platforms, foot traffic at the mall’s outdoor zone surged 73.6% compared to the prior period — driven entirely by visitor-led sharing and word of mouth.
