As the lead execution partner for this Fauvist-inspired floral pop-up project, our factory managed the entire lifecycle—from the technical development of art installations and prop fabrication to on-site assembly. To bring the designer’s avant-garde concept to life, we focused on two primary challenges: achieving authentic material textures and ensuring structural integrity.
For the centerpiece “Sakura Pink” cloud trees and flying piglets, we moved beyond traditional paint, utilizing automotive-grade finishings infused with pearlescent pigments. After more than 20 color-matching iterations, we achieved a sophisticated, translucent visual effect. To withstand outdoor wind loads, we engineered a bionic internal structure using high-grade galvanized square steel, reinforced with concealed tension rods and water ballast tanks, ensuring the installation remains stable even in 8-level winds.
Regarding detailing and project management, every junction—from the piglet wings to the floral branches—underwent rigorous manual sanding and seamless joint treatment to eliminate any “plastic” appearance during close-up inspection. Prior to deployment, we performed a 1:1 scale pre-assembly at our factory to identify potential structural issues and streamline the installation process, allowing for efficient, high-precision assembly on-site.
