As a professional event prop fabrication house, we faced three core challenges when delivering an immersive marketing installation for a Yuen Long brand pop-up project. The first was material handling and seam finishing: the massive inflatable dinosaurs (Brachiosaurus, Stegosaurus, and Pink T-Rex) risked surface distortion and wrinkling upon inflation, which would have severely compromised the IP’s visual fidelity. This demanded an exceptionally high level of craftsmanship for these bespoke props. The second was structural integrity and wind resistance: given Yuen Long’s susceptibility to typhoons, these 6–8 meter tall soft structures required extreme wind-load reliability to ensure public safety. Finally, we tackled lighting aesthetics and tight lead times: the client requested a psychedelic, translucent “jelly-like” glow for the nighttime display, all within a compressed on-site installation window of under 48 hours—a true test of our production integration capabilities.
To address these pain points, our factory implemented a precise, multi-tiered solution. To ensure flawless material finishes, we utilized high-density Oxford fabric combined with “pre-assembly” thermal transfer printing, paired with hidden double-stitched seams to guarantee smooth, seamless joints. Regarding structural safety, we engineered a “ballast base + external flexible anchoring” system, incorporating pre-embedded ballast modules at the foundation and securing the dinosaurs’ necks to ground-level H-beam frames with high-strength transparent tension cables. Internal barometric pressure relief valves were also installed to maintain stability in high-traffic areas. To achieve the desired lighting effect under a tight schedule, we deployed matrix LED modules within a dual-layer fabric structure to diffuse light evenly.
