As a premier custom installation manufacturing factory, we took full charge of the booth construction project for the ChinaJoy gaming exhibition. Our responsibilities encompassed the custom fabrication and on-site rigging of large-scale sculptures, including a giant suspended dragon head art installation, rock formations, and weapon props, while the client independently handled the overall booth scene design. The giant dragon head posed several challenges: its complex curved surfaces and heavy self-weight, combined with concentrated high-altitude suspension points, created potential safety hazards. Furthermore, the intricate details of the scales and fangs meant that batch coloring could easily result in blurred textures and color deviations, all compounded by a tight exhibition setup schedule. To overcome these obstacles, we integrated a thickened galvanized steel load-bearing framework inside the sculpture, engineering multiple preset rigging points with strict structural load calculations for secure multi-point anchoring. We adopted an independent split-molding process to flawlessly replicate the scale textures and uniformly sprayed the pieces in the same batch using the IP’s exact color palette. By prefabricating and numbering all modular components, we systematically resolved the difficulties of structural safety, high-fidelity restoration, and strict deadline pressure.
The entire immersive dynamic installation featured refined finishing and integrated lighting craftsmanship. The sculpture’s splicing seams were expertly hidden, sealed, and polished, ensuring the seamless integration of fine components like fangs and dragon whiskers. Luminous lighting modules were embedded in the dragon’s eyes, synchronized with the booth’s circular neon LED strips and stage spotlights to perfectly recreate the game’s dark martial arts (Wuxia) atmosphere. All large-scale sculptures, rocks, and weapon props underwent a 1:1 pre-assembly verification at our factory to proactively correct any alignment errors. On-site, we executed sectional hoisting and synchronized cross-operations among multiple work teams, strictly meeting the booth setup milestones without delaying the exhibition’s overall schedule.Achieving an ultimate 99.8% restoration rate in shape, texture, and lighting, this gaming-themed sculpture installation transformed into a phenomenal, viral check-in spot at the ChinaJoy exhibition.
