As the full-service prop customization manufacturer for the JD MALL grand opening project, we were responsible for the complete delivery of all mall opening installations, fiberglass dynamic features, and full-category custom props. Centered around a futuristic tech aesthetic, the project transformed the space into a fully immersive retail environment spanning outdoor plazas, multi-level atriums, and brand showrooms. Key highlights include a 5-meter-tall mechanical heart-shaped JOY sculpture and a 6-meter-diameter UFO-style suspended atrium installation, among other signature features.
To address the structural safety and dynamic stability challenges of large-span irregular suspended installations, we utilized a composite structure of “hot-dip galvanized square tube load-bearing skeleton + high-strength aluminum alloy panels.” Through finite element analysis (FEA) to optimize load distribution, we successfully tripled the safety factor.
To authentically capture the high-tech atmosphere, we developed a sophisticated layered intelligent lighting control system. Atrium escalators feature high-transparency holographic film paired with RGBW full-color LED strips for stunning rainbow gradient effects. Honeycomb installations incorporate embedded point-light sources for perfectly even illumination with zero dark zones. The UFO suspended installation is equipped with a point-by-point dynamic lighting system capable of switching between multiple light-and-shadow modes. All lighting uses low-voltage safe sources with completely hidden wiring, achieving a clean “see the light, not the fixture” effect. We also established a strict custom color management system, locking in three signature tones—tech blue, vibrant orange, and warm white—with uniform powder coating across all components to maintain a color difference of ΔE ≤ 1.2.
To meet the tight 45-day opening deadline, we implemented a fully parallel factory workflow. All mall opening props and fiberglass dynamic installations underwent 1:1 full-scale pre-assembly and testing before shipment. Core features received 72-hour continuous operation testing, resolving over 90% of potential on-site issues in advance. Leveraging standardized modular design and multiple specialized installation teams working in parallel, we completed the full 2,600㎡ decorative prop rollout across the entire mall in just 12 days.
Following project completion, related TikTok topics surpassed 32.52 million views, with the mechanical JOY heart interactive video earning 7.9 million likes on a single post. Instagram Reels featuring the UFO suspended installation reached 18 million impressions, while YouTube videos accumulated over 21.2 million views, driving a 280% surge in JD MALL search interest. On X (formerly Twitter), dynamic installation clips garnered 4.3 million views, and Threads topics achieved 1.3 million reads. The campaign generated over 68.8 million total impressions across platforms and directly boosted offline foot traffic by 62%.
