As a professional custom prop fabrication factory, we were responsible for the complete pop-up store manufacturing and on-site setup for the Bananain outdoor pop-up project in Wuhan. Our scope included the curved exhibition hall structure, retail display shelving, 3D channel letters, and perimeter hoarding props, while the brand client independently managed the conceptual scene design. During the execution phase, the project faced three core challenges: high-fidelity color matching and material restoration, rigorous requirements for structural safety and detailing, and an ultra-short time window for on-site installation. First, the brand demanded uncompromising color accuracy, requiring visual uniformity across disparate materials (acrylic, metal, and baking paint) under the same color system, while guaranteeing the finishes would not fade under Wuhan’s intense summer UV radiation. Second, the 3.2-meter-high curved display booth needed to maintain a lightweight visual aesthetic while supporting a single-point load of over 80 kg; given the high foot traffic in the commercial area, the anti-tipping safety standards were exceptionally strict. Finally, the shopping mall permitted a highly restrictive 36-hour window for complete on-site deployment.
To overcome these challenges, our factory engineered a systematic set of solutions. Regarding materials and color matching, we utilized semi-transparent frosted acrylic paired with a reverse UV printing process for the illuminated signage. All visible materials underwent rigorous sampling using at least five different techniques to match the brand’s exact Pantone colors, passing a 48-hour xenon lamp aging test to guarantee zero fading in outdoor environments, which ultimately reduced post-event maintenance costs by approximately 40%. For structural safety and meticulous detailing, we implemented a dual-layer “inner skeleton plus exterior cladding” structural design. We conducted a 1:1 full-scale pre-assembly in our factory, integrated concealed, detachable cast-iron counterweights, and embedded 3mm stainless steel edge trims to achieve a seamless, premium finish where the curved booth met the ground. To ensure time efficiency, we adopted a modular installation and color-coded logistics strategy. With over 90% of the structural assembly completed at our manufacturing facility, we labeled each module according to its installation sequence.
