As a premier manufacturer of custom decorative props, we were commissioned for the Langham Place Christmas Art Installation. While our partners managed the spatial and conceptual design, our factory was fully responsible for the fabrication, custom manufacturing, and on-site assembly of the shopping mall installations and commercial holiday decor. Throughout the project’s execution, we focused on five core technical areas: material craftsmanship, structural safety, lighting integration, seamless detailing, and full-scale pre-assembly. By prioritizing these elements, we successfully overcame complex engineering challenges such as molding irregular geometric shapes, ensuring high-altitude structural stability, concealing intricate wiring, eliminating visible splicing gaps, and navigating the logistics of a cross-border installation.
To address specific project pain points—such as the difficult molding of custom-shaped components, stringent high-altitude load-bearing requirements, unsightly multi-material transitions, and the inability to make overseas on-site modifications—we utilized a split-molding technique combined with built-in load-bearing armatures. We also conducted rigorous mechanical calculations and added anti-overturning reinforcements for the suspended installations. All lighting components were seamlessly concealed with thoughtfully designed access panels, while precision edge-finishing techniques were applied to eliminate any visible seams. To mitigate cross-border installation risks, we executed a 1:1 full-scale pre-assembly and testing phase at our manufacturing facility. The final setup comprised 117 custom props, achieving a stunning 98.7% visual fidelity to the original design with strict color accuracy (ΔE≤1.5). This meticulous preparation allowed us to complete the on-site installation and debugging in just 6 days, well ahead of schedule. The entire holiday display operated flawlessly for 45 consecutive days, driving a remarkable 37% increase in mall foot traffic.
Upon launch, this commercial holiday installation quickly transformed into a phenomenal local Christmas landmark and a highly sought-after photo destination. Thanks to the exquisite and captivating designs of the mall’s Christmas decor, the installation generated massive organic social media buzz during its 45-day operational run. Over 2,800 user-generated posts and vlog-style videos were shared across various platforms, pushing the total associated topic exposure past 42 million impressions. Highlights included 28.6 million views on TikTok and over 52,000 engagements on Instagram, with the viral momentum further amplified by immersive real-world walkthroughs on YouTube and trending lifestyle posts on Lemon8. This massive surge in digital traffic continuously funneled back into the physical retail space, further maximizing the mall’s foot traffic and overall commercial growth.
